Efficiency equals more productivity and results. During our Lakeside Events meetings, we discuss practices that can boost our effectiveness as leaders. Here are three things we can do to maximize our time and energy:
- Focus on Quality, Not Speed: Rushing through projects to get the result faster might seem efficient, but it’s a time waster if the quality is not there. In our Lakeside Events training, we emphasize quality is first, even if it means progress is slower. It’s about doing it right the first time.
- Define Our Own Success: It’s one thing to compare ourselves to others if we’re trying to gain pointers to accomplish our objectives. However, when it comes to being successful, we must define what this means to us as individuals. This approach allows us to focus our energies on attaining goals that are meaningful to others, versus trying to match someone else’s victories. Our Lakeside Events advancement policy is centered on individualized career paths based on people’s unique strengths.
- Be Forward Thinking: Other than for lessons to learn, living in the past mentally can prohibit us from moving forward. Think in terms of seeing life through headlights, not tail lights. It’s far more efficient.
