During our Lakeside Events training, we remind our new associates that accomplishing our objectives often hinges on our self-confidence. Getting to the point at which we’re able to say “yes I can” is easier when we assume a positive approach. Here are three practices to apply:
- Be Self-Reflective: When we look in the mirror, we need to ask ourselves some key questions. How do we see ourselves comparatively to our actions? Do we keep our word and deliver on time? Do we inspire trust and confidence from others? The answers to these questions can help us identify opportunities to improve ourselves and our personal brand.
- Be Solution-Oriented: Anxiety in small doses can fuel our desire to address issues. In our Lakeside Events office, we emphasize finding a solution to an issue rather than worrying about it. If we believe anything can be solved if we put our minds to it, we can move past any obstacles.
- Get Out of Your Comfort Zone: Growth means stretching ourselves to take on challenges, even if we might fail. Our Lakeside Events coaches emphasize this with our new associates as they strive to learn our business model. Even if something seems intimidating at first, as we continue to practice it, it becomes second nature.
